Business of the Month November 2018
Carrizo Oil & Gas, Inc. is a Houston-based energy company actively engaged in the exploration, development, and production of oil and gas from resource plays located in the United States. Our current operations are principally focused in proven, producing hydrocarbon basins primarily in the Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas and the Delaware Basin in West Texas. We opened our first Eagle Ford office in 2010 in La Salle County with only three employees. Since then, our Eagle Ford operations have grown to over 55 employees covering over 76,000 net acres. We pride ourselves in working with the local communities and supporting local organizations and events that benefit the community, education, emergency response, and public service.
We have successfully grown our production and reserves by being an industry leader in horizontal drilling and completion techniques in unconventional resource plays. To date, we have drilled and completed more than 1000 horizontal wells across multiple resource plays and over 500 wells in the Eagle Ford Shale since 2010. We use the data accumulated from our past activity to help determine how and where to place future wellbores in order to maximize our results. This disciplined approach has helped us continue to drill wells that rank among the best in our core areas. In fact, our Eagle Ford operations consistently rank as one of the most efficient in the industry.
We look forward to building a stronger relationship with La Salle County and the community, and continuing our support of the Chamber of Commerce.
Chamber President Noe Rodriguez and Sr. EH&S Advisor for the Eagle Ford region Brian Daughtry.
