New School Groundbreaking 2019
The Cotulla Independent School District had their groundbreaking ceremony on July 17th, 2019. Many dignitaries were present for this occasion including State Representative Ryan Guillen.
The new building will be able to accommodate up to 500 students. It will be ready for the 2021 school year.
Business of the Month August 2019
We would love to congratulate our Business of the month for August, Hotel Cotulla. Jo Anna Hinijosa and her team always provide great hospitality to their guests. They also take time to serve their community and give back. We appreciate all you do!

Business of the Month July 2019
We would like to congratulate Fairfield Inn & Suites of Cotulla as our July Business of the Month.
They are located at 417 N. IH 35, Irene Perez is the general manager. They have been great members of the community and have given of their time and help when asked. Fairfield Inn remains one of the best hotels who keep customers coming back. We thank them for all they do.

Business of the Month May 2019
We would like to announce our Business of the Month is Gates Cattle Company, LLC. It is a family owned operation with ranching interests in LaSalle, Dimmit & Frio Counties. Its main focus is a Cow/Calf operation, the company also farms quality Bermuda hay. Jim Gates is a 3rd generation rancher in South Texas. A graduate of Texas A & M University in 1983 with an Agricultural Economics degree, he has over 32 years as a banker in Pearsall & Cotulla. Currently Jim is the President/ CEO of Stockmens National Bank in Cotulla. With his wife Shanna, and son Lane, they provide youth hunts for a local Boy’s Ranch. The family spends much time promoting the youth within the communities they operate.
