Welcome to Cotulla, Texas and La Salle County

We, at The Chamber, are glad to have you as a part of our community. Ours is an area that is rich in history and  traditions. From the earliest settlers crossing into Texas at the Nueces River in ox carts going North to the latest jet  planes landing at our modern airport, transportation and travel have been an important part of our lives. Our community welcomes the oilfield activities and workers who are developing the Eagle Ford Shale in our midst. If there is anything we can do to help you enjoy your stay, please contact us at our Chamber office.

Garros Subdivision is a multi-million dollar mixed –use investment by Laredoans Eduardo Garza and Salvador Rosas designed for residential and commercial use. Billed as a "city within a city" it boasts 4 hotels that include the Marriot Farfield, and Mainstay Hotel and Suites several restaurants such as McDonald's and Sonic, a convenience store located in the heart of the development, and forthcoming single and multifamily residential areas. As a result of the Eagle Ford Shale boom in the area, Cotulla has seen its population almost double in less than a year. Contact Larry Friedman (956) 712-3478 for more information on how Cotulla is a great place to invest.

The La Salle County Wild Hog Cook-Off and Fair was first held in March of 1972 as a community project by the Cotulla chapter of the Young Homemakers of Texas. Now held annually the second weekend of March, the Wild Hog Cook-Off has grown into a weekend-long event packed full of good-humored family fun, contests, rodeos, and, of course, barbeque. Come be a part of a La Salle County tradition. No matter who you are, you're sure to go "hog wild" at the Wild Hog Cook-Off!. VISIT WEBSITE.

The original Museum was a one-room schoolhouse donated to the Historical Commission by the Cotulla Independent School District. The Museum has grown over the years from the original one-room school building. In April, 1997, Gladys "Beanie" McMahon Porter donated her house and lots to the Historical Commission for the purposes of a Museum. The original Museum was moved to it's new location at 201S. Stewart St. The Museum has been completely renovated and contains many pictures, displays and artifacts of La Salle County and the Brush Country. VISIT WEBSITE.
